Preventative care helps mature pets live longer, happier, & healthier lives

Participating animal hospitals and clinics

Wellness screening is just as important for adult pets as other preventative healthcare measures like vaccinations. The American Animal Hospital Association recommends blood and urine testing for seniors every 6-12 months.2

These tests track and detect changes to liver, kidney, thyroid, blood glucose, red and white blood cells. Detecting any changes early means that in many cases we can provide care straight away.

We recommend having a wellness screening annually. Six months after your pet’s vaccination is an ideal time.

Did You Know?

Your pet seeing a vet every 6 months is the same as a human seeing a doctor every 2-3 years!

This is because adult dogs and cats age around 5x faster than humans. Early detection allows us to manage issues before they become more serious and help improve your pet’s quality of life.

Pets are pros at hiding their discomfort

Unlike people, pets are unable to tell us if they are uncomfortable or in pain. Cats are especially adept at hiding physical discomfort. Biannual checkups and annual wellness tests can help bridge that gap and shed light on how they are feeling – no words needed.
